The Staff Appreciation Committee organizes various activities throughout the school year to celebrate Centreville Elementary School staff and their dedicated service to our community.
NATIONAL TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
May 6 - May 10, 2024
During Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTA plans a variety of activities for all teachers and staff to enjoy throughout the week to show how much we appreciate them. The week is a large undertaking and requires numerous parent volunteers to make it a success. Stay tuned to find out how you can help support these efforts.
FCPS CARES PROGRAM
The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. You can fill out an online comment submission through the FCPS Cares Program to acknowledge the good work of our CES employees. It takes less than a minute!
VIRGINIA LOTTERY'S "THANK A TEACHER" PROMOTION
Each year, students, parents, and the community are encouraged to send thank-you notes to Virginia's deserving public teachers during National Teacher Appreciation Week. These note cards not only express your gratitude for all that teachers do but also provide them a chance to win a Virginia vacation (valued at $2,500) and $2,500 in supplies for their school. Prizes are sponsored by the Virginia Lottery, The Supply Room, IGT, and NeoPollard Interactive. The entry period to send your note begins in April. Send a digital card online and provide a teacher the chance to win some fantastic prizes!
