Whenever possible, the Room Parent Coordinator will reach out to classroom teachers to determine where the biggest needs are and will work directly with Room Parents to determine individual responsibilities.  Some common responsibilities of Room Parents may include, but is not limited to:

• Supporting your child's teacher with classroom responsibilities they would like to delegate by pooling volunteers from among the class's parents.

• Acting as a liaison between the teacher, other grade-level parents, and the PTA.

• Acting as an activities coordinator for classroom and grade-level celebrations by helping with scheduling, supplies needs, and recruiting volunteers.

• Providing additional support to teachers, as needed.

• Helping coordinate parent volunteers for PTA and other school-wide events.

Please involve as many parents as possible in all class activities throughout the year.  Sharing responsibility builds our school community, encourages a strong home-school partnership for our children, and will make each experience easier and more fun.​
