After-School Programs

Each session of after-school programs will include a variety of art-related classes for which students can register.  This year's fall session includes the following:

ART SMART.  Students will study famous artists in a variety of genres and then create their own masterpieces based on the lesson.  We will use acrylic paint, watercolor paint, and oil pastels during this session.  This class is offered on Mondays and open to students in 4th-6th grade.

STEAM Arts & Crafts.  In this STEAM-based arts & crafts program, we blend education and fun like a perfect recipe.  We focus on creating innovative crafts that can work and move, like rockets that can shoot, instruments that make music, and cars that can move.  Activities are based on STEAM principles and teach kids important problem-solving and developmental skills.  This class is offered on Mondays and open to students in Kindergarten - 2nd grade.

Elementary Drawing.  The Elementary Drawing program teaches children to deconstruct complex objects into foundational shapes.  This approach helps them increase their mastery in drawing, which can also translate to improved life skills.  Through engaging and relevant subject matter and repetition, children learn to reconstruct images with confidence.  Artists can expect enhanced core art skills and improved group behavior and social skills.  This class is offered on Tuesdays and open to students in Kindergarten - 4th grade.

Pottery Workshop.  With guidance and encouragement, students will learn fundamental pottery techniques while also delving into the rich history and cultural significance of ceramic art.  Our mobile pottery studio isn't just about creating beautiful pottery - it's about cultivating confidence, resilience, an a lifelong love for the arts.  Children will develop invaluable skills such as problem-solving, patience, and the ability to transform ideas into tangible works of art.  This class is offered on Thursdays and open to students in Kindergarten - 6th grade.

Mixed Media Art.  The Kids & Masters program uses hands-on projects to teach elements of art such as line, shape, form, color, value, texture, and space in order to enhance children's visual spatial intelligence.  The curriculum introduces different media such as acrylic paint, soft pastel, oil pastel, pencil drawings, ink, clay, plaster, and paper.  The young artists will draw and paint landscape, still life, and portraits.  This class is offered on Fridays and open to students in Kindergarten - 6th grade.
