Letter From The PTA President

Welcome back everyone!

The summer has come to its bittersweet end and it's hard to believe it but it is time to go back to school! The PTA has been working hard to coordinate some exciting programs and events for the upcoming school year. Stay connected by checking our web site at www.CentrevillePTA.org to keep in-formed. We will work hard to keep you in the know — via KIT emails, call-outs, website postings, email blasts, and flyers — make sure you don't miss a thing by signing up for the Keep In Touch program, joining the PTA, and checking those weekly communicators.

Be sure to check out the PTA calendar — it will give you a heads up on the events planned for early in the school year, starting with the family picnic this Friday evening. There will be great food and entertainment by our very own Flock of Eagles, as well as an opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. The first PTA meeting will be on October 6th – at 7:00 pm in the library.

Our school is a great place to be and it just keeps getting better thanks to some fabulous leadership from Mr. Young. His commitment and dedication to our children inspires me to volunteer and help make Centreville Elementary the best we can be. To keep our commitment to excellence requires the support of an entire community, and that means volunteers. Our Volunteer Coordinator this year is Stefanie Ragano. Stefanie can be reached at VolunteerCoordinator@centrevillepta.org. If you would like to volunteer but are not sure where to start, just drop her a note. She will get you pointed in the right direction! Lastly, please remember that your PTA is only as strong as its members. So please consider joining and becoming an active member. You can make a difference!
